Big D....Here I Come

I hope you are all sitting down. If you aren't, go ahead, I'll wait.

I received a call late yesterday afternoon informing me I got the job in Dallas. My first day will be August 2nd, so I have a couple of weeks to tie everything up here, pack and get moved.

I'll be moving in with my brother for a while until I can get settled and find a place of my own. Thankfully, I don't have that much to move.

With any luck, I will be able to work it out so I can keep up with the blog while I'm moving. If not, TJ said he would cover for a couple of days.

More details to come......

I'm Baaaaack!

Hey everyone,

I'm back home (got back in late yesterday).

First off, I want to give JT a big public "Thank You" for filling in for me. I couldn't have done it while I was away.

Second, I had a good time celebrating my birthday with my family. Of course, they all made their jokes and gave me gag gifts (does anyone out there need any Depends?). As I expected, I didn't get the Nook like I wanted. It looks like I will have to save up for it.

And last, my interview went well on Friday. They told me I should hear something one way or another before the end of the month. If I get the job, I will have to move to Dallas by the first of August. Thankfully, they will help with moving expenses. Keep your fingers crossed for me.

I'm glad to be home, though. I have a ton of emails to get caught up on (I didn't even check them while I was gone) and numerous Wonder Wheel spins (I wasn't going to subject JT to that).

I hope you all got tons of Oodles while I was gone. I'll keep you up-to-date on the possible move as I know more.
