If this keeps up, in a month or two I may not have any thing to post but Newlywed Oodles (until that show bites the dust).

Also, you may notice I have removed all of the GSN/Worldwinner banners and links from the blog. This is in protest for their constant screwing us out of Oodletunities (why should I help them profit for it). I've replaced them with banners for WildTangent Games. I own Polar Bowing and Polar Golf. They're great games and the graphics are incredible (and cute).

I know it!!! How terrible. First the good gift cards are never available (for me anyway) to be redeemed. Second they slowly take away some games for earning oodles. If this keep going, pretty soon all of us oodlers will not have to sign in gsn anymore.
ReplyDeleteI feel we are being punished instead of being rewarded, where's the justice? There is hardly anything good to use the Oodles for and I'm sure we cannot convert our Oodles for cash to play games either. Am I right. This is just WRONG.
ReplyDeleteGreat! By the way,how many oodles are you guys able to win per day? Lately the Deal or no Deal game has always knocked down the big numbers in the case right away and I can never get a lot of oodles. I'm starting to think that's very convenient for them.
ReplyDeleteThis seriously is getting annoying. I think once I have enough oodles for a somewhat decent proze that is actually in stock I may be done on the site.
ReplyDeleteOn a good note though, I am still getting 75 oodles Mon-Fri at 10pm for Pick a Pair even though that is no longer available to pick. I guess its an oversight on GSN's part and I sure am not going to bring it to their attention!
Also I do think its funny with all of the moving of games and revamping the site that they've been doing they still have not bothered to get rid of the link for video recall. When you click on it it just takes you to a page with random games. Come on GSN!
If everyone would send an email to GSN expressing the disappointment of the oodle opportunities getting smaller then maybe GSN would listen. I sent an email this morning so please everyone do the same. Thanks so much and have a great day!

Yes, ever since they cut the GSN Live hours from 6 to 3 a day and falsly promised "twice the fun in half the time," GSN has been lessening the oodletunities and cheapening the value of the available prizes or making them so costly (i.e. the TV) that only a few can redeem them. No more TV Tuesdays, only one chance per week to win the MoneyMeter, etc.
Maybe they are financing the (IMHO) worthless reality shows they are now featuring, along with Bingo Blitz with money they are saving by cutting back on all of these things.
I'm now very skeptical and am beginning to question the integrity of the site.
I, too have had problems with DOND- three times when I clicked NO to the question "Do you want to trade your case?" The game traded my case anyway. It happened when I had 90 (once) or 150 (twice)in my case and it traded my case for 3, and for 7 and some other very small number of oodles.
Like the above posters, I am losing interest in the site and being driven away by site's shortcomings which are being posted.
I personally think they are not restocking gift cards because they want us to enter their sweepstakes.
ReplyDeleteAs for sending them an email, I've already done that (as have many others I know). I've not received a response. Looking on their forums, I see the same concerns and people are saying they are not getting responses either.
Have you seen the new "Oodlympics"? I'm confused - do we have to play 15 DIFFERENT games? Or play free games 15 times? (i.e. the same game can be played 15 times). It doesn't seem to clarify this.
ReplyDeleteI haven't yet read any responses but it seems as if most have not yet realized that these "oodles" are not free, time is money and plus gsn gets big advertising dollars for each client on their "books". PEOPLE NEED TO BITCH AT help@gsn.com, and on the gsn comment wall and take ownership or threaten to quit their gsn membership if things don't change for the better. We are gsn members = client/customer and if the customer is no longer king/queen then screw them.

I noticed GSN changing for the worse at the beginning of the year. I think the the reality show fiasco is going to be the ruin of GSN.
ReplyDeleteI also question the integrity of the site. In August of 2009, I won a prize that the management of GSN completely reneged on. I know, the host knows, and david mendenhall knows that I won the prize in question. Like most fun things, GSN too is coming to an end.

As soon as I had enough for the camera, poof.. it went away. And it's impossible to win that TV. 1,000 oodles a day every day for more than a year? No thanks.
ReplyDeleteI've actually had decent luck on DOND. My case had 250 today for the first time and still won 200. But GSN's lack of decent gift cards and prizes is for the birds. Again Rowdydog.. your answers are greatly appreiciated. Hope that digital camera comes back soon.
I'm not certain on the "Oodlympics" either. I would assume it is different free games, but it's not clear (What? GSN make something clear?)
ReplyDeleteThe Refer a Friend was removed from option was removed not too long ago. I don't think they knew how to make it work.
I agree about writing help@gsn.com. I think if they got deluged with emails, they might actually start addressing our concerns (or at least explain what is going on).
I also agree that the "prizes" are kind of lame. The Keurig and gift cards are the only things worth getting.
I've tried emailing gsn too, I then posted comments on their facebook page which they promptly removed and banned me from posting. Has anyone else noticed all the same people on top of the leader boards with seemingly impossible high scores? Some of these same people have oodle balances that would have required them to average between 1500 and 2000 oodles EVERYDAY for the last 6 to 8 months because that's how long they have been a member of gsn. Obviously these paople have figured out a way to cheat. Gsn only wants people to enter their sweepstakes, lots of people spending oodles, with only one winner.

What I do not understand is when they hand the feedback thing b4 christmas no one I know asked for the questions to be removed or the gift cards and give to be less. From what I saw people wanted more oodletunities and more gift cards and more items to win. What i dont understand is since they are owned by sony. Why dont they offer some sony products such as dvds and playstation games. Plus if anyone of you play sonyrewards.com games there are alot of items to win. Why not offer them on GSN?
ReplyDeleteThat's a good point about Sony owning them, but I think Sony wants to keep GSN as far away as they can so they can promote their own sites.
