Another Oodles Trivia Question Lost

Once again, let us have a moment of silence to pay our respects to another game that no longer has an Oodles Trivia Question. RIP: Zen Gems

Zen Gems has now become a leader board game.

In other news, GSN has once again remodeled the individual game pages. While they look "cleaner" and less cluttered, the button for the trivia questions has now been moved to the bottom of the page (with the exception of Bingo America).

Also, when you click on Straws under the tab on the Wonder Wheel where you earn spins, it takes you to the new game page. You have to click on "Play for Oodles" to earn the spin.

And, am I the only one getting annoyed with the Professor Layton ads that pop up on the first two games and you are forced to listen to it while you do the question (those kids are getting on my nerves).

Our First Mad Mad Libs Winners

OHHHHHHH KAAAAAAYY....... You people are "madder" than I thought.

After hours of head bonking, eye gouging, nose pulling and "nyuk-nyuks", our independent panel of judges (Moe, Larry and Curly) have selected the top three entries for this round out of over a hundred submitted. It wasn't easy. There was much arguing (along with side-splitting laughter), but there was one thing we all agreed on - YOU ALL NEED TO STOP SMOKING THE CHEAP STUFF! :-)

I've highlighted the words submitted in each entry.  They are in order of first, second and third place.  Congratulation to our winners and thanks to everyone who submitted an entry.

So without further ado (or adon't), here are this round's "NO-PRIZE" winners:

The Space Shuttle

In 1981, the U.S. Launched the first real Space wiener schnitzel. It was named Columbia and was piloted by two brave paparazzi. They had practiced regurgitating for two years and were expert congressmen. Columbia took off from Vatican City using its powerful first-stage brassieres and soared off into the salt-encrusted blue couch potato. At an altitude of 6 2/3 feet, it went into orbit around the blowhole. For people watching from Earth, it was a chunky sight to slobber! Who could really tinkle that there were two henchmen in space? It was mind-gambling. After 99 orbits, the shuttle landed playfully at an air force penguin. It was a meaty day for the U.S. Space Program.

A Moment of Remembrance

Let us take a moment and remember all those who died on 9/11/2001 - the people in the World Trade Center, the Pentagon, and those on the planes as well as the heroic members of the New York Fire and Police Departments.

Let us also remember and honor those of our troops who have given their lives in Iraq and Afghanistan over the last several years. No matter your politics, I think we all will agree they served well.

I'd also like to take a moment to remember those who lost someone on 9/11 as well as in Iraq and Afghanistan. My those you loved live on in your hearts and minds forever.

One Year Strong

Wow! Here we are one year later.

I certainly didn't think I would last this long. I'm sure many of you probably thought the same.

When I started this blog, it was actually an experiment for me. I had never blogged before and I thought I would give it a try. I couldn't really think of a subject at first. Then, it hit me.

I didn't even look to see if anyone else was doing anything like this. I thought, "This will give me something to do and maybe someone will actually look at it and use it."

I found out shortly after beginning the blog, that there were other sites out there doing the same thing. I figured I would have little to no audience and my days would be numbered.

Then, one day, I started receiving comments from those of you visiting. Many told me that my site was easier to use than the others. Slowly, the number of you visiting began to increase and my spirits were lifted. This could actually work.

A lot's happened over the last year. I was unemployed and living in Baltimore. I found a job back home in Dallas and subsequently moved back home. Many of the other sites doing this went away.

I want to take this time to thank all of you who visit this blog (whether since the beginning or if you are a new visitor). You are the reason I continue to do this. I enjoy hearing from all of you and hope to hear more.

So, here's to the first year of Oodles of Fun! I don't know how much longer GSN will keep the Oodles program going, but I'm looking forward to at least another year of this.
