I can't make oodles by playing the games (my scores are always so low)so having the answers to the trivia and the live games shows meant at least 500 pts a day. thank you again and will miss you. ReplyDeleteThere has been a lot of talk about being unhappy with GSN and their prize selection. I have been play games on GSN from the start of the Oodles program and it has changed. I think those of us who were there from the start got a bit spoiled with all the prizes that were being offered and the prizes were a relative bargain too. Many are saying that there are no good prizes anymore, yet just today in electronics I saw 2 different iPods, a Blueray player, a Sony Digital Picture Frame, Cordless Head Phones, a Weather Station and even more. Yes the T.V. appears to be gone and the costs have gone up, but remember that you have a chance to get these things for playing games and answering trivia questions. What a sweet deal. Has GSN taken away some games? Sure, but we also now have games like Double Trouble which if you don't get greedy and play smart is worth a few hundred Oodles every day and then there's DumbVille's garbage grab that nets me 3 or 4 thousand Oodles every month, maybe even more. Don't get me wrong here, I'm not happy with everything that GSN has done or is doing. The Leaderboard games is just one example of something that needs changing. The high scores there can only be achieved by cheating, everyone knows it, even GSN, it comes up regularly on their facebook page only to be quickly removed. But think about if you just started playing at GSN and saw all the prizes, had no idea what it was like in the beginning,you would more than likely be thrilled. I plan to keep playing as long as they offer prizes, if they switch to only sweepstakes and drawings, well then I doubt that I would continue to play. In closing, Rowdydog, THANK YOU!!! , it's been fun getting to know you. You have done an outstanding job with this blog. I wish you would reconsider. I can't help but think because of how sudden you seem to have made this decision that there must be more to this story... Stay well.
ReplyDeleteI agree that newer players may not know what it used to be like and that there may be some playing now who are satisfied with the prizes.
ReplyDeleteHowever, it's not just the quality of the prizes that is why I'm going to stop participating.
While the decision may seem sudden, I have been considering this for about 2 months now. I've been doing this for over a year now and the level of enjoyment that I've been getting from this has been declining. I would prefer to stop while I'm ahead and not get to the point where this becomes more like a chore than something I enjoy doing each day. I don't think that would really be fair to all of you.

I want to comment on anonymous who was talking about the ipods and other great electronics, i have enough points for all, and yet could not get any, when it said buy now, i would click on it and would be taken back to the start of the prizes, i have done that twice so far and got nowhere, when i emailed them last week for an answer they still have not gotten back to me, those electronic prizes just seem to be a lure to get you to keep playing, i dont believe there are really ipods available, or the blue ray player either
