Big D....Here I Come

I hope you are all sitting down. If you aren't, go ahead, I'll wait.

I received a call late yesterday afternoon informing me I got the job in Dallas. My first day will be August 2nd, so I have a couple of weeks to tie everything up here, pack and get moved.

I'll be moving in with my brother for a while until I can get settled and find a place of my own. Thankfully, I don't have that much to move.

With any luck, I will be able to work it out so I can keep up with the blog while I'm moving. If not, TJ said he would cover for a couple of days.

More details to come......

  6. Congratulations!!!!!!!! Obviously you know the climate you are getting yourself into. I have only been to Texas once as a kid in the summer. I got my finger smashed in a car door and couldn't go in the pool - I was 4 going on 5 (my fingernail still is still weird 45 years later). Not quite the memories the Texas chamber of commerce wants to promote, but what the hay.

  11. Thanks everyone!

I'm going to be working the next several days to get most everything packed and line up transportation so it gets there the same time I do. I'm looking at flying down there on July 17th (hopefully all my belongings will get there around the same time) :-).
