OK, I'm starting to get depressed.
Why, you ask?
I'm about to reach a major milestone in my life. On June 3rd, I will be turning the big 5-0. Of course everyone has started giving me grief already.
I've asked them several times not to throw a party with a bunch of silly gag gifts. There is only one specific item that I want (a B&N Nook reader to replace the dinosaur eBook reader that just went DOA). I asked them all to pitch in and get it for me (it's only $260). However, their track record is not very good at getting anything I ask for so I'm not getting my hopes up. :-(
Anyway, I wanted to give you all a heads up that on June 3rd, I will be taking the day off from posting. My roommate has graciously (grudgingly?) agreed to post the Trivia and GSN Live answers for me. So, if they are later than usual, don't panic he'll get them up.

ReplyDeleteAh yes, the big 50. You're a year younger than I am. Turning 50 wasn't as bad as turning 40 when things started to kind of go down hill. I was kind of proud to turn 50, I made the half century mark and I also got my AARP card. Don't laugh, it will get you some pretty nice discounts. You can always do like I did and start to count back after after 40. Using my formula I just turned 29 this past April. I hope that you have a wonderful Birthday and enjoy many more to come.

I just turned the big 50 less than a year ago. My friends gave me a walker with a horn and "senior crossing" sign on it. I know where your coming from!!!!

ReplyDeleteHappy soon to come birthday, in a few months i will hit 51, so I understand where you are coming from. My doctor did the parachute out of a plane thing when she turned 50. I was little crazy and did some things i shouldn't have but we all survive and its all good.

ReplyDeleteMost people who see me think I'm in my late 20s. I'm still in pretty good shape and I haven't grown an gray hair yet. I still feel like I'm in my 20s.
Of course, my family keeps telling me I will need to start using a walker soon and ask for the senior discount when I go out to eat.

FYI - For those who asked how many Oodles I have. the number is around 170,000. I wish they would get something I would like to spend them on.
